This year's Trust in the Digital World event is to be held at the New Babylon Centre in The Hague on 15/16 June. This event is a mixture of practical demonstrations, presentations, panel discussions and “un-conference” session covering key challenges, visions and strategies. It is envisioned for those in business, public sector and government who are involved in the policy, security, systems and processes surrounding trust.
TREDISEC will have large representation due to the presence of several members with key roles in the development of the project.
Ghassan Karame, Innovation Manager of TREDISEC, will chair a panel on cloud security. The panel has as topic "Reconciliating Security and Functional Requirements in the Cloud", and will be tentative by 3-4 senior experts in the field including representatives from industry, and academia.
One of the confirmed panellist is Melek Önen, Dissemination Manager of TREDISEC. Melek Önen is a senior researcher at EURECOM. Her current research interests are the design of security and privacy protocols for various communication networks such as ad hoc networks, sensor networks, opportunistic networks and social networks. She has been involved in many European and national French research projects.
